This week, Year 4 have focused on gathering information on plastic pollution in readiness for writing a newspaper report on the issue.
The children have looked at a range of different resources, as well as focusing on how to conduct interviews to get opinions on this issue.
Year 4 created their own interview questions on plastic pollution, ensuring that they are open ended, allowing the interviewee to give explanation to their answer. Using the questions they created, Year 4 interviewed Year 6 on plastic pollution to gather information on their opinions on the matter. b
Both Year 4 and Year 6 collaborated really well for this task and it was lovely to see the children working across year groups.
Thank you to Year 6 for allowing Year 4 to come and interview to get your views on this very important issue!

Year 2 and Year 4 came together for their Survival project outcome, sharing their learning together in a variety of different activities! We had some wonderful outfits from both children and adults!
Year 5 had the pleasure of visiting our wonderful local Makla to experience some of the local cuisine linking closely to our Ancient Greek project. We tried all sorts of new food, including hummus, pitta bread, rice filled vine leaves, feta, olives and tzatziki.
We had a fantastic time tasting all the different foods and immersing ourselves in the culture. We then filled out a taste card where we rated what we had eaten and why. It was interesting to hear why the children liked some foods and not others.
Come and see us on Saturday 9th November at 10am and explore St. James'. See what our school family has to offer your child.
