This week we became time travellers in Year 1! We travelled back to 1930 and flew all around the world, just like the famous aviator, Amy Johnson!

Our journey began at Croydon airport where we met an interesting character who told us all about a brave and adventurous lady who had an idea of flying all the way to Australia. This was quite out of the ordinary for a woman and everyone doubted that she would make it.

Amazingly, Amy Johnson then appeared and asked for our help to plot her route to Australia and prepare her trusty biplane plane, Jason, for take off. We then flew alongside Amy over Europe, dodging the Alps which really tested our new-found flying skills! Our journey continued over the continent of Asia where we endured a snowstorm, a monsoon and even a jungle full of monkeys! Finally, we arrived in Australia, we were exhausted!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Bex from FROGS Drama for giving us such a wonderful morning full of movement, drama and fun and really bringing our project to life for us! What an adventure we had!
